Abstract

Fifty-one patients with squamous cell carcinoma confirmed metastasis were used for estimation of the anitcipated biologic behavior. The histologic parameters used to describe the grading system include the degree of keratinization, nuclear pleomorphism, number of mitosis, the mode and depth of invasion. Comparision Broder¢¥s classification with each parameter, correlation to each parameter, and correlation each parameter to lymph node metastasis.
Finally, mode of invasion, unmber of mitosis, and the sum value in well differentiation of Broder¢¥s classification was important key to prognosis the patients. For the corelation to each parameters, the degree of keratinization to number of mitosis and nuclear pleomorphism to the mode of invasion was significant. And the umber of mitosis was the only key to discern the lymph node metastasis.
